“Rosary Beats Rogan”—“Fox and Friends First” Interviews Fr. Mark-Mary Ames, “The Rosary in a Year” Podcast

[Exton, PA, January 7, 2025—]

A new Catholic Rosary podcast from Ascension launched at #1 on Apple and has been ahead of top podcaster Joe Rogan for 7 days—and counting.

Joe Rogan is the uncontested king of American podcasting, boasting the largest podcast deal and largest listener base of any podcast on record.

This week the king of podcasting has been displaced by a (heavenly) queen. A new podcast about the Rosary has beat Joe Rogan on the Apple Podcast charts for 7 days and counting.

Fox and Friends First interviewed Rosary in a Year host Fr. Mark-Mary Ames about the upset this morning:

“The faith is alive, people believe, people want to grow in their relationship with God, that is very evident,” explained Fr. Mark-Mary. “There’s a lot of discouraging news… I think there’s an awareness that our hope is going to be found in God… I do think this is going to be a source of grace for the whole world.”

When asked why people of all ages are now praying this prayer often considered the domain of Catholic grandmothers, Fr. Mark-Mary replied warmly: “The Rosary certainly is experiencing a new springtime, it’s coming back. It’s the perfect human prayer, it’s so clear, it’s so accessible.”

Laura Carrione of Fox News Digital additionally sat down with Fr. Mark-Mary at the SEEK conference this weekend for an interview entitled “‘Rosary’ beats Rogan: Is faith-based media becoming mainstream?

To Carrione, Fr. Mark-Mary commented, “There’s something particular that God wants to do through [the Blessed Virgin] Mary that also continues now…… I think the number-one thing is [that] there seems to be some sort of special grace given by God to the Rosary where he wants to do some special work. And the Rosary is the thing that unlocks it. It opens the door to grace.”

The Rosary in a Year hitting #1 on Apple has been covered nationally in outlets including The Daily Wire, the Daily Caller, Catholic News Agency, and the Associated Press.
