Catholics Embark on Spiritual Pilgrimage with New Installment in Popular Advent Series

[Exton, PA, December 1, 2022—]

Rejoice! Meditation series continues a legacy of Advent transformation with St. John the Baptist at the helm.

This Advent, Fr. Mark Toups will guide Catholics through the anchoring Scripture passages of the Advent season—the Sunday Mass readings. Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage into the Heart of Scripture helps Catholics journey through a busy season with more peace and joy, providing a prayer, a meditation, and guided journal questions for each day of Advent.

Fr. Mark Toups, author of the Rejoice! Advent series, pastor of Our Lady of the Isle Church in Grand Isle, Louisiana, and vicar general of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, shares in the introduction of the series the special role of St. John the Baptist in this year’s meditations: “I pray that readers also come to know John the Baptist in a deeply personal way. He will serve as our pilgrimage leader on this sacred pilgrimage of Advent.”

Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage into the Heart of Scripture is the fifth installment in the Telly and ACP award-winning Advent meditation series enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of Catholics. A companion for Advent, the Holy Spirit has worked through Rejoice! to provide transformation and healing: “This study changed my thoughts about Christmas so much that I cried during Mass on Christmas morning,” said Debra W., a past participant in the Rejoice!  program.
