Ascension To Release New Album With Franciscan Friars of the Renewal

[Exton, PA, October 3, 2018—] Ascension, the world leader in Catholic Faith Formation, has announced a collaboration with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (C.F.R.) and Meaningful Market to produce Brother Isaiah’s new album “Poco a Poco”.

Poco a Poco invites listeners to glorify God in their everyday lives,” said Andrew Lanchoney, Assistant Product Owner at Ascension. “With his poetic language and calming tone, Brother Isaiah offers listeners an escape from the sometimes suffocating world we are all now living in through his wondrous music.”

Brother Isaiah’s fellow Friar and executive producer for the album, Fr. Mark-Mary Ames, added: “Brother Isaiah’s lyrics are marked with a wisdom and profundity you would expect from a consecrated religious, with melodies influenced by growing up in California surfing the Pacific and jamming with friends.  His daily struggle towards authentic discipleship collides with rhythm and melody in Poco a Poco that leaves the listener with a desire for the same pursuit.”

The stated mission of the C.F.R. community is a wholehearted embracing of Jesus Christ and the life of St. Francis.  Through personal and liturgical prayer, recitation of the Divine Office, daily Eucharistic Adoration, and the making of beautiful music, the community aims to perfect and increase their intimate union with God.

Meaningful Market, a Catholic design firm, provided the photography and design for the Poco a Poco merchandise.
